Our story.

Shake was founded in 2003 by Rachel King. Her dream was to create a fun and welcoming community where everyone could access the high quality street dance training she had experienced in London, New York and LA.

Shake quickly became one of the UK’s most respected street dance schools, giving hundreds of people a home to enjoy learning to dance, build confidence and be a part of performances and competitions they will never forget.

Twenty years later under the leadership of Isaac Farmer, who joined Shake as a student at age 7 in 2005, we are committed to doing things ‘The Shake Way.’ We believe success thrives in an environment where everyone can be themselves, and fun is a priority. We are proud to have dancers as young as 4 coming from all over the South Coast to train with us and to have helped many dancers start professional careers.
